DIY IKEA GALLERY WALL
IKEA GALLERY WALL
I’ve recently been bookmarking loads of prints from Desenio – which is a big favourite amongst Instagrammers and Bloggers to find those Scandi & Nordic style prints in a wide range of colours and themes
Plus they always have 20%-30% off discount codes flying around, so I was going to order a few but then I watched Ashley Brooke’s YT video on her own DIY Gallery Wall – and how she bought loads of cheap frames, and used editorial magazine prints to fill them up with – so this is my attempt at that!
RAID YOUR MAGAZINE STACKS
I don’t know about you, but I have a thing for buying those expensive magazines and hoarding them for ages!
I just think if you’ve paid £3-£4 for them, they are worth keeping around for future inspo, general coffee table books and insta flat lays
So I had a good flick through them all, and ripped out any pages which I thought would fit in my frames, and that would go well with the colour scheme I’m looking for at the moment
Magazines work really well for the smaller frames, but now I’m looking at buying those massive coffee tables books, so I can fill up my larger frames
I think I’m going to trawl through Amazon and see what I can find – if you have any recommendations, then please let me know!
MIX & MATCH PRINTS WITH TEXT
Whether it’s fashion branding or some inspirational quotes, I think it looks really good to break up the gallery wall with some text inbetween them – this Saint Laurent print was just from a magazine, but there’s no reason why you couldn’t just download your fav quotes and print them off yourself
SHOP THE POST
Before I hang mine up, I’m going to fill up my bigger Ikea frames so there’s abit of dimension to the wall, but I’m really liking it so far – and it only took me abut half an hour to do this! x
